5-Can Chili – 4 Servings

                                 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can black beans undrained
  • 1 can kidney beans undrained
  • 1 can pinto beans undrained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 packet Chili seasoning (or any seasoning you would prefer)

 

Directions:

Combine onions with the olive oil in a large pot to partially cook the onions. Combine the rest of the ingredients in the pot. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

Additional Options:

Add 1 pound of browned seasoned ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey, etc.) if available.

Also, if you have a medium onion, green pepper and/or celery you can dice them up and sauté them in butter or olive oil until tender then add the ground meat (if you are using meat) and/or the beans and seasoning. Continue by following the directions.
